Mateusz Michalek

Mateusz Michalek is a Professor of Real Algebraic Geometry at the University of Konstanz, Germany. His research focuses on algebraic combinatorics, algebraic geometry, and their applications to polytopes, toric varieties, and tensors. He co-authored the book Invitation to Nonlinear Algebra with Bernd Sturmfels, published by the American Mathematical Society. Michalek has contributed to topics such as secant varieties, phylogenetic models, and representation theory, collaborating with researchers like Paul Goerlach, Laura Colmenarejo, and Nils Bruin.
