Bernd Sturmfels

Bernd Sturmfels is a Professor of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley (since 2008). He concurrently serves as Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig (since 2017), and holds Honorary Professorships at the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Leipzig (both since 2018).
