Prof. Dr. Bernd Nowack is an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Environmental Systems Science, ETH Zurich, and a Group Leader at Empa's Technology & Society Laboratory. His research focuses on environmental risk assessment and management of nanomaterials and microplastics, including modeling their environmental flows, hazard assessment, and experimental studies on release mechanisms.
