Miriam Langer

Prof. Miriam Langer is a Professor for Ecotoxicology and Group Leader at the FHNW School of Life Sciences. She serves as Dean of the BSc program in Environmental Sciences and Technology, Head of the Bachelor program, and lectures in courses such as Environmental Risk Assessment, Introduction to Ecotoxicology, and Molecular Toxicology. Her research focuses on pollutant effects on ecosystems and applied ecotoxicology, supported by a joint professorship with Eawag (ETH Domain's aquatic research institute). She leads practical courses, lab trainings, and supervises student theses.

Her work bridges academia and practice through collaborative projects with Eawag, aiming to translate research into real-world applications. The Institute for Ecopreneurship, where she is based, emphasizes interdisciplinary environmental entrepreneurship and innovation.
