Berkley Browne-Holtz, Ph.D., CWP, is Assistant Professor in the Department of Foundational Medical Studies and Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Career Development at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB). She provides leadership in student support, wellness, academic success, and career development, and serves as a medical student adviser and co-course director for the PRISM curriculum.
Her research interests focus on student wellness in medical education, professional identity formation, and higher education leadership. These interests are reflected in her administrative roles and academic contributions, particularly through curriculum design and student support programming.
Dr. Browne-Holtz earned her educational degrees from Albion College (B.A. in Political Science), Ashland Theological Seminary (M.A. in Clinical Counseling), and Oakland University (Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership). Her doctoral research on student wellness in medical education was recognized as the Most Outstanding Dissertation in the non-STEM category at Oakland University in 2020.
