Benton Heyworth

Benton Heyworth, MD, is an Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School and an attending orthopedic surgeon in the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Department at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he also serves as Associate Program Director of the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship and orthopedic consultant to Wentworth College. Board-certified in both general orthopedics and sports medicine, he specializes in the surgical and research needs of children and adolescents with sports injuries and complex musculoskeletal conditions.

His work spans ACL reconstruction in skeletally immature patients, patellofemoral instability, osteochondritis dissecans, discoid meniscus pathology, adolescent clavicle fractures, and meniscal tears. He is a principal figure in the JUPITER, ROCK, MEMO, CORTICES, PLUTO, SCORE, and FACTS study consortia and sits on the Board of Directors for PRISM (Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine).
