Benoit TAISNE

Benoit TAISNE serves as Associate Professor and Principal Investigator at Nanyang Technological University's Asian School of the Environment (ASE) and Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS), leading research in magmatic systems with regional focus on Southeast Asia.

His academic foundation includes:

Research centers on integrated magmatic processes from mantle to atmosphere, emphasizing volcano monitoring through real-time data processing, analogue experiments, and infrasound technology. Current work develops regional detection capabilities for explosive eruptions using Southeast Asian volcanic systems as natural laboratories.

Recent publications reveal three thematic clusters: volcanic plumbing system analysis via multi-disciplinary approaches (petrology/seismology), infrasound network optimization for eruption characterization, and atmospheric wave detection from seismic events - demonstrating methodological innovation across geophysical subfields.
