Dr. Benny Lo is a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine, affiliated with the Department of Metabolism, Digestion and Reproduction. He leads research in Body Sensor Networks (BSN), robotics, and AI-driven healthcare technologies. His roles include Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal on Biomedical and Health Informatics and former Chair of the IEEE EMBS Wearable Biomedical Sensors and Systems Technical Committee (2018-2019).
Research interests span pervasive sensing, computer vision, machine learning, and wearable technologies for healthcare applications. He pioneered BSN research, focusing on platform development, sensor innovations, and clinical applications.
