Benjamin Giroux

Benjamin Giroux is an Associate Professor in Japanese Studies at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in Paris. His research focuses on the sociological dimensions of contemporary Japanese literature, specifically the dynamics of literary prizes and legitimization processes for writers. Giroux is a member of the French Institute for Research on East Asia (IFRAE) and participates in research programs such as the Symbolic and commercial promotion of books and literature in modern and contemporary Japan.
