Benjamin Edelstein is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Quinlan School of Business, Loyola University Chicago. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 2025, and holds a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Articles reflect expertise in environmental policy, urban development, and financial economics.
Notable awards include the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy’s Babbitt Dissertation Fellowship (2022), Wharton Doctoral Fellowship (2019), and recognition in the UEA student paper competition (2024). He is a member of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association and the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.
