معرفی
Professor Benjamin Doyon is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at King's College London, within the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences. He holds roles as Co-chair in Disordered Systems and is affiliated with the Centre for Non-Equilibrium Science (CNES). His research focuses on hydrodynamics of integrable systems, quantum entanglement, and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. He has received notable awards including the AHP Prize 2020 and the John William Strutt Medal (2022). His work bridges quantum field theory, integrable systems, and many-body physics.
Education: Baccalaureate in Physics from Université Laval (1995–1998), PhD from Rutgers University (1998–2004) under Sergei Lukyanov. Postdoctoral fellowship at Oxford University (2004–2007). Academic roles include Lecturer at Durham University (2007–2009), Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader at King's College London (2010–2016), and promotion to Professor in 2021.
Research Interests: Exact results in integrable systems, hydrodynamic theories for non-equilibrium systems, quantum entanglement, and rigorous approaches to quantum statistical mechanics. Notable contributions include generalised hydrodynamics frameworks, entanglement entropy studies, and foundational work on branch-point twist fields.
Grants: EPSRC grants (First/Standard/2021–2022), ERC Advanced Grant (2025–2029). External affiliations include CRM Mathematical Physics Laboratory at Université de Montréal since 2021.
Awards: Highlighted achievements include the 2022 Rayleigh Medal for pioneering work on generalised hydrodynamics and the 2020 AHP Prize for research on ballistic transport fluctuations.
