Benjamin Carey is a Senior Lecturer in Composition and Music Technology at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. His research and creative practice focus on electronic music, modular synthesis, and the interplay between human and machine agencies. He holds a BMus (Performance) from the University of Sydney and a PhD from the University of Technology, Sydney.
He has released ten albums, including METASTABILITY (2023) and ANTIMATTER (2019), and collaborates with artists like Sonya Holowell and the JACK Quartet. His work explores interactive music software, audio-visual performance, and the philosophy of technology.
