Benjamin Acosta-Hughes is a Professor of Latin and Greek at the Ohio State University's Department of Classics. He concurrently holds positions as Associate Professor at Italy's Università di Roma Tre and Università di Piemonte Orientale. During his 2023-2024 Visiting Professorship at the IHRIM Laboratory (ENS de Lyon), he focuses on collaborative projects, including a book on female voices in Hellenistic poetry with Christophe Cusset, and advancing his monograph on Alexandrian reception of Greek choral lyricism. His expertise spans Greek poetry of the Classical and Hellenistic eras, with an emphasis on Hellenistic literary traditions, cultural context, and poetic metaphor.
