Ben Wiggins

Ben Wiggins serves as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Childhood at the University of the West of England, Bristol. His teaching responsibilities span undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education (ITE) programmes, including leadership of the Professional Learning module for PGCE, mathematics instruction for PGCE and undergraduate ITE students, and module leadership for UWE's iQTS programmes.

He holds a Master of Arts in Education. His research expertise centers on three interconnected domains: Primary Mathematics Education, where he investigates pedagogical strategies for young learners; Social Capital in Online Learning, examining how social networks influence educational outcomes in digital environments; and Learning and Learning, focusing on theoretical frameworks of cognitive and metacognitive learning processes.
