Ben Wang

Ben Wang is the Eugene C. Gwaltney Jr. Chair in Manufacturing Systems and Professor in the Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering and School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. He serves as Executive Director of the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute (GTMI). His research specializes in process development for affordable composite materials and nanomaterials science, particularly 'buckypaper' applications in aerospace, energy efficiency, thermal management, and displays.

Dr. Wang earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Tunghai University (Taiwan), and M.S./Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He serves on the National Materials and Manufacturing Board (NMMB) at the U.S. National Academies.
