Ben Trunzo, MSc., CAT(C), is a Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health at the University of Winnipeg. With over 30 years of experience as an Athletic Therapist, he has taught courses such as Introduction to Kinesiology (KIN 1101), Prevention and Care of Sport Injuries (KIN 2202), and Therapeutic Modalities in Sport Medicine (KIN 3107). He previously served as Head Athletic Therapist at the University of Winnipeg and remains actively involved in treating patients in the Athletic Therapy Clinic while mentoring students in the field.

His research and teaching focus on athletic therapy, sports injury prevention, and therapeutic modalities. He has contributed to the advancement of Athletic Therapy nationally through leadership roles in the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA), including serving as president (1993-1994), and participating in medical teams for major events like the Canada Games, World University Games, 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and 1999 Pan Am Games. His work bridges clinical practice and academic training.
