Byron Bahniuk is an Instructor I and Practicum Coordinator at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management. He transitioned from a clinical role as an athletic therapist to an educator, focusing on experiential learning and teaching within the Athletic Therapy Program. His expertise includes musculoskeletal injury treatment and clinical practice.
Educational Background: MSc, Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), and Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)).
Research & Clinical Experience: Over 17 years of clinical experience with Bisons student-athletes and community members, and roles at institutions like the Pan Am Clinic, Associated Rehab Consultants of Canada, and the women's national volleyball team. His work emphasizes hands-on therapy and injury management in sports.
Teaching & Coordination: Leads practicum coordination, integrating clinical education with academic training. Focuses on bridging theory and practice in athletic therapy education.
