Ben Spitz

Ben Spitz is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Virginia, with research interests in Algebraic Topology, Equivariant Algebraic Topology, and Abstract Nonsense. He will transition to a math postdoc position at Indiana University Bloomington starting Fall 2025, having previously worked at UCLA as a PhD student under Mike Hill.

Research areas include Algebraic Topology and Equivariant Algebraic Topology, leveraging abstract mathematical frameworks to explore topological structures with group actions. His role at UVA involves teaching and tutoring mathematics at various levels.
