Ben Lowndes is an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline University. He currently serves as the Operations Division Liaison at the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), where he provides conflict resolution and strategic planning services to strengthen internal and external collaboration for agency projects. Previously, he worked in MnDOT’s Office of Public Engagement and Constituent Services, as well as the agency’s ombudsman’s office.
- J.D. (cum laude) from Hamline University School of Law
- Certificate in Advocacy and Problem Solving
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English, specializing in Rhetoric and Composition Studies
His professional and research interests include Conflict Resolution, Dispute Resolution, Strategic Planning, and the application of his background in Rhetoric and Composition to legal advocacy and public engagement. His work emphasizes mediation, stakeholder collaboration, and systemic conflict mitigation.
