Ben Harkin

Dr. Ben Harkin is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His expertise includes anxiety disorders (particularly OCD) with focus on attentional/memory impairments, Trust in Science, and meta-analytic review methods. He leads units in Cognitive Psychology and Research Methods across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Dr. Harkin holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow examining cognitive aspects of OCD, an MA in Higher Education, and has received ESRC Future Leaders and British Academy grants. His work has been featured in The Psychologist magazine and industry publications discussing debt avoidance psychology and OCD during COVID-19.
