Judith Roberts is a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer at Aberystwyth University since 2024, with prior teaching roles at Bangor University and Arden University since 2015 alongside clinical practice in NHS settings. She holds a PhD (2012) and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (2013) from Bangor University.
Her research focuses on the neuropsychology of aging and neurorehabilitation, particularly for older adults and individuals with learning disabilities. She specializes in behavior change, rehabilitative interventions, and anxiety disorders, developing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Judith's recent studies include mindfulness-informed interventions for aggression in intellectual disabilities, errorless learning in memory rehabilitation, and awareness dynamics in mild cognitive impairment and dementia. These works emphasize qualitative methodologies, cross-sectional studies, and meta-analyses.
Scientific awards include being a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and selection for the Welsh Crucible programme (2025). She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and teaches qualitative research methods, health psychology, and foundations of counselling.
