Dr Ben Bailey is a Lecturer at the University of Newcastle's School of Health Sciences, specializing in Speech Pathology and Developmental Disability research. His work focuses on leveraging Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance communication development in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

He has supervised PhD and Honours students on topics like Vocabulary Development in ASD and Communication Skills in Kindergarten. Publications span telepractice literacy, eye-tracking, and cross-cultural autism studies in Indigenous Australian communities.
