Amanda Brignell is a Senior Research Fellow in Paediatrics at Monash University, with affiliations at Monash Children's Hospital, Murdoch Children's Research Institute, and Australian Catholic University. She holds a PhD in Autism Spectrum Disorder research from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Public Health from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology from the University of Sydney.

Her research focuses on language development in neurodevelopmental disorders, with specializations in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Kleefstra syndrome, and speech-language pathology. She investigates language trajectories, developmental regression, and healthcare education for children with neurodevelopmental conditions. Recent projects include: Early, novel and accessible intervention for children with developmental regression (2022-2027) as Chief Investigator.
