Belinda Vicioso

Belinda Vicioso, M.D., is a Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine, UT Southwestern Medical Center, and holds the Jose Garcia Professorship in Internal Medicine. She serves as Medical Director of Geriatrics at Parkland Health and specializes in memory disorders. She previously served on faculties at institutions including the University of Pennsylvania, and joined UT Southwestern in 1995.

Her research focuses on healthcare policy, chronic disease management, and medication adherence. She completed a Primary Health Care Policy Fellowship at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2003, contributing to over 20 peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Vicioso leads regional and national initiatives, including roles as Texas Geriatrics Society President and Chair of the Teacher’s Section of the American Geriatrics Society. She mentors medical students at Sprague College and advises on global health and minorities in medicine.
