Abimbola Awodipe, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in Geriatric Medicine. She serves as the Medical Director of the Senior House Calls Program at Parkland Health & Hospital and previously held roles as Medical Director at Logan County Correctional Center and Wexford Health Sources. Dr. Awodipe joined UT Southwestern in 2004 following medical training at Awolowo College of Health Sciences (Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria), residency at Cook County Hospital (Chicago), and fellowships at the University of Texas Medical Branch and Duke University School of Medicine.
Her research focuses on geriatric care, including contributions to the American Geriatric Society through an abstract and presentations at Geriatrics Grand Rounds. She actively contributes to medical education by facilitating outpatient geriatrics rotations and developing curricula via the Donald W.
