Namirah Jamshed

Namirah Jamshed is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, holding the endowed title of Professorship in Geriatric Medicine. She serves as Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program and Medical Director of Care of the Vulnerable Elderly (COVE), a home-based primary care program. Dr. Jamshed is also Chair of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Medical Director of the House Call program.

Education: MD from Aga Khan University Medical College (Karachi, Pakistan), residency in Family Medicine at Latrobe Area Hospital (PA), geriatrics fellowship at UCLA, and a Master's in Healthcare Management & Leadership from UT Dallas.

Research focuses on population health, health policy, and teaching, with publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations globally. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (Education, Awards, and Governance committees) and the American Geriatrics Society (co-chair of Home-Based Patient Care committee).
