Belinda Edwards is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Kennesaw State University’s College of Science and Mathematics. With a PhD in Mathematics Teaching & Learning from Georgia State University, she specializes in mathematics teacher education, focusing on preparing culturally and linguistically responsive educators for high-need schools.
- Joined KSU as an instructor in 2002
- PhD earned in 2008
- Former undergraduate secondary mathematics program coordinator (2009–2012)
- Secured NCATE accreditation for KSU’s program
Her research examines pre-service teacher identity and retention, supported by the National Science Foundation through the IMTAS grant. She advises students pursuing mathematics teacher certification and facilitates professional development for in-service educators. Prior to KSU, she taught middle/high school mathematics in Florida and community college courses in Iowa.
