Belinda Davis is a Senior Lecturer in the Macquarie School of Education at Macquarie University, specializing in early childhood education. Her research focuses on pedagogy, curriculum development, and the impact of children's experiences on learning and development. She is affiliated with the Centre for Research in Early Childhood Education (CRECE) and the Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre.
Her research interests include the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), infants and toddlers, low socio-economic status families, and quality assessment in early education. She actively supervises Higher Degree Research students and teaches in postgraduate/undergraduate early childhood education programs. Davis has collaborated on projects like the ORICL initiative and the Art & Wonder collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia.
Recent projects (2021–2026) include exploring tools to enrich children’s learning and analyzing contemporary art’s role in early childhood education. She has been awarded the OMEP New Scholar Award (Postgraduate, 2024) for her contributions to early childhood studies.
Her scholarly contributions span articles on multimodal literacy, quality improvement in childcare, and policy analysis. Davis frequently presents at conferences, including discussions on care tensions in early childhood environments and professional development strategies for educators.
