Behrooz Pourghannad is an Assistant Professor of Operations and Business Analytics at the University of Oregon's Lundquist College of Business. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota and serves as coordinator for the Operations and Business Analytics PhD program. His research focuses on healthcare systems, business model innovation, and supply chain management using methodologies including game theory, machine learning, and causal inference.
He has previously held positions at Wilfrid Laurier University and Mayo Clinic, and maintains research collaborations with Mayo Clinic's Kern Center for Healthcare Delivery Science. His work has been recognized with multiple awards including top honors from INFORMS and IBM for research excellence.
Current research investigates operational efficiency in healthcare delivery, sustainable supply chain models, and behavioral aspects of business innovation. His publications demonstrate consistent focus on quantitative approaches to complex business systems, with recent work examining energy efficiency in supply chains and patient-provider matching algorithms.
