معرفی
Behnaz Bagheri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her research focuses on multiscale modeling of electronic excitations in soft matter and plasma interactions with biological surfaces. She employs computational quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, and fluid-type models, with applications in medicine, agriculture, and public health.
- BSc and MSc in Physics/Condensed Matter Physics from Isfahan University of Technology (2009–2011)
- Postgraduate Diploma, ICTP (2012)
- PhD at University of Waterloo/Perimeter Institute (2012–2017)
- Postdoc at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (2017–2020)
Her research interests span plasma-biological interfaces, non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasmas, and computational modeling of polymeric systems. Key topics include photoionization effects, lipid bilayer oxidation, and hydrogen peroxide solubility in water. Recent work emphasizes plasma applications for medical and environmental solutions.
Bagheri has contributed to 15+ peer-reviewed articles (2016–2025), including studies on plasma dynamics, molecular interactions, and plasma-liquid interfaces. She actively organizes plasma-related conferences and teaches courses on Electrodynamics and Quantum Physics at TU/e.
Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health, clean water, and innovation. Collaborations include international teams studying plasma chemistry and biomedical applications.
