Becky Workman is a part-time faculty member in the Department of Education at Wittenberg University since 2005. She holds a Ph.D. from Kent State University (2015), an M.A. from Wright State University (1995), and a B.A. in Special Education from Bowling Green University (1972). Her career spans over 30 years in public education, including roles as a teacher, school psychologist, and district test coordinator in Springfield City Schools.
Her academic focus includes special education, particularly emotional disturbance, and vocational integration for students with disabilities. She has taught courses such as Introduction to Students with Special Needs, Human Development, and Senior Practicum. She has supervised over 100 teacher candidates at Wittenberg, emphasizing mentorship and collaboration with cooperating teachers.
Becky was honored as Outstanding University Supervisor in 2020. Her personal interests include travel to Africa (notably Lesotho for educational initiatives) and collecting Steiff animals. She also enjoys crime fiction and maintaining an active lifestyle.
