Shari Densel is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Art Education at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), part of the School of Art within the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds an M.Ed in Art Education from the University of Toledo and a BS in Art Education from St. Francis University. Her research focuses on Arts Leadership with a global emphasis, including roles in Fulbright-Hayes programs in South Africa/Lesotho, Freeman Foundation study tours in China, and leadership in Tanzanian arts education initiatives. She has also participated in State Department-sponsored exchanges in Tanzania and Japan.
Dr. Densel teaches courses such as Visual Arts Methods & Teaching Practicum and Teaching Internship, emphasizing practical pedagogy. Her achievements include $8,500 in grant funding for the Anthony Wayne District Art Department, raising $3,000 for Lesotho orphans via a mural project, and a 2005 article in School Arts Magazine. Awards include Art Teacher of the Year (2011) and recognition as an Ohio Master Teacher (2004–2014).
