Becky Taylor is a Professor of Modern History at the School of History and Art History, University of East Anglia, and a member of the Migration Research Network. Her research focuses on minorities, migration, and state policies, particularly regarding refugees, Gypsies/Travellers, and marginalized groups. She leads interdisciplinary projects funded by the ESRC, including the Realities Checked study on Gypsy/Traveller experiences of crime and justice. Taylor is Editor-in-Chief of History: the journal of the Historical Association and co-editor of Refugee History. She emphasizes collaborative research with policymakers, NGOs, and communities, and actively engages with public media to communicate historical insights.
