Becky Mansfield is a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University. She holds affiliations with the Sustainability Institute, Institute for Population Research, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Her research focuses on nature-society relations, political ecology, and science studies, particularly examining the intersections of power, race, gender, and environmental health. Mansfield has held academic roles since 2001, progressing from Assistant to Associate Professor before becoming a full Professor in 2013.

Publications & Grants: Mansfield’s 80+ peer-reviewed articles include influential works on EPA policy, pesticide assemblages, and feminist scholarship. She has secured over $2 million in grants, including NSF funding for projects on ecological diversity and pesticide networks.
Awards: Notable honors include the 2017 Joan N. Huber Faculty Fellowship and recognition for mentoring. She has also been a vocal advocate against academic harassment, co-authoring critical essays on systemic inequities.
