Research Contributions: Dr. Anane-Bediakoh's work bridges academia and community practice. Notably, she co-led the 2019 Peel District School Board 'We Rise Together' policy report, which influenced the creation of a Black Student Success Strategy to combat anti-Black racism in education. Her research challenges systemic inequities through critical analyses of carceral logics, racialization, and spatial justice.
Publications: Her recent work includes contributions to the Encyclopedia of Critical Political Science (2024) and explorations of anti-Blackness and environmental dispossession in peer-reviewed and community-based publications. Current projects address white supremacy's structural impacts and Black geographies.
Teaching Philosophy: Integrates lived experiences with academic theory, using reflective exercises to connect micro-level realities with macro-level systems of power. Prioritizes holistic learning that respects diverse knowledge sources.
