Beata Bednarczuk

Beata Bednarczuk is a university professor at the Institute of Pedagogy, Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, University of Maria Curie-Skłodowska (UMCS). She holds a doctorate ("dr hab.") in pedagogy and has dedicated over three decades to advancing Montessori education in Poland, particularly in Lublin and Świdnik.

• Education: Postgraduate Studies in Maria Montessori Pedagogy (1992–1994), Hogeschool Gelderland in cooperation with Katholieke Pedagogische Hogeschool (Arnhem/Nijmegen) and UMCS.

Research Interests focus on:

• Montessori learning environments and their impact on child development
• Professional identity of Montessori teachers
• Cosmic education and interdisciplinary learning
• Long-term effects of Montessori schooling on graduates

Scientific Awards:

• Individual Rektor's Award III degree (2016, 2022)
• Bronze Cross of Merit III degree (2019)
• Silver Medal for Long Service (2017)

Advisory Roles:

• Consultant for the pedagogical experiment "Education of children according to the Maria Montessori system" at Primary School No. 27 in Lublin (since 2019)
• Co-founder of the Video-Didactics resource with Dr. Marta Garcia-Sampedro (University of Oviedo/Spain)
