Barbra Berlovitz serves as a Visiting Instructor in the Department of Theater and Dance at Macalester College, with additional affiliations as Affiliate Faculty at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg University. A co-founder of the 2005 Tony Award-winning Theatre de la Jeune Lune, she has dedicated over thirty years to acting, directing, and artistic leadership in the theater community.
Her artistic expertise spans Theater Directing and Acting, with notable performances in classical works such as Medea, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, and contemporary pieces. Berlovitz is deeply engaged in Theater Education, fostering the next generation of theater artists through her teaching and collaborations with Twin Cities theater companies including Frank Theatre, Theatre Novi Most, and Ten Thousand Things.
Berlovitz has been honored with several prestigious awards:
