Barbara Waters is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Business and Programme Director for Fashion Business & Technology Undergraduate Studies at the University of Manchester's Department of Materials. She holds a part-time PhD (2014–2021) on fashion brand names in British chick lit and is an external examiner for multiple UK and international fashion business programs. Her research focuses on fashion branding, product placement in literature, and pedagogical innovations in higher education.
