Dr. Barbara Polak is a Lecturer in the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bayreuth, affiliated with the Faculty of Cultural Studies. She serves as the course coordinator for academic programs and acts as the primary student advisor for issues related to Campus Online systems and transcript of records verification.

Publications
Her research focuses on ethnographic fieldwork methodologies, particularly collaborative approaches to studying creativity and cultural appropriation in African contexts. A notable publication (2017) explores these themes through empirical case studies inspired by Kurt Beck's work.
