Barbara Garrity is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Nursing, within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at the University of Northern Colorado. She holds a MSN in Public Health Nursing/Nursing Education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a BSN in Undergraduate Nursing from Bob Jones University.

Her work focuses on integrating service learning into nursing education, advancing critical care training through simulation technologies, and addressing healthcare disparities in migrant and immigrant populations. International nursing practices are a recurring theme in her research.
