Barbara F. Walter is the Rohr Professor of International Affairs at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy, specializing in civil wars, violent extremism, and domestic terrorism. Elected to National Academy of Sciences (2023) and American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2023).
Education includes Ph.D. and M.A. in Political Science from University of Chicago and B.A. from Bucknell University.
