Her research focuses on International Trade, Development Economics, Regional Economics, and Applied Economics. Her work investigates the interplay between trade policies, infrastructure, and economic development, with a particular interest in gender equality, environmental sustainability, and financial constraints in global value chains. Key methodologies include econometric analysis of trade flows, policy evaluation, and network theory applications.
Analysis of her 15 most recent publications (2020-2025) reveals three dominant research trajectories: geopolitical trade disruptions (e.g., sanctions, waste contamination policies), digital infrastructure's role in reducing market barriers (especially for women and input access), and foundational trade determinants like transport infrastructure and trade finance. Her work consistently emphasizes developing economies, with Türkiye serving as a frequent case study, and integrates environmental, gender, and financial dimensions into traditional trade frameworks.
