Professor Babette Boliek is a faculty member at Pepperdine University's Caruso School of Law, specializing in antitrust law, telecommunications, privacy law, and sports law. She holds a PhD in Economics from UC Davis, a JD from Columbia University, and a BA from California State University, Chico.
Her research focuses on the intersection of law and economics, particularly in digital markets and regulatory frameworks. She has served as Chief Economist at the FCC (2018-2019) and Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Economic Analysis at the DOJ Antitrust Division (2020-2021).
Her recent publications address antitrust enforcement, net neutrality, and privacy law. Awards include recognition as an award-winning teacher at Pepperdine. She has held visiting roles at UCLA and collaborations with institutions like the American Enterprise Institute and USC-Annenberg Center.
