Azreen Zulkeflee is an Assistant Professor at the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure and Society, Heriot-Watt University. His research focuses on construction management, safety compliance, and labor practices in the construction industry. He holds a provisional quantity surveyor certification from the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and is a student member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable infrastructure and responsible consumption. He is actively involved in advising PhD students since 2020.
Key research interests include foreign labor safety compliance, digital transformation in construction planning, and policy analysis for labor practices. Recent studies explore cloud-based collaboration tools and cultural factors affecting safety behaviors. His publications highlight challenges in illegal labor employment and frameworks for enhancing safety standards.
