Ayşe Umut ARIBAŞ serves as an Instructor and Deputy Director of the School of Foreign Languages at Beykent University in Istanbul, Turkey, where she has held academic and administrative roles since 2003 within the School of Foreign Languages.
Education:
- Master of Arts, Institute of Social Sciences, Beykent University (2003-2007). Thesis: Class, Domestic Sphere and Women's Oppression in Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children and The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
- Bachelor of Arts, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Bogazici University (1992-1999).
Research Focus:
Her scholarly work centers on English Language Teaching methodologies, English literary analysis with specialization in dramatic literature, and gender studies through critical examination of Bertolt Brecht's works. She investigates intersections of class structures, domestic spheres, and systemic oppression in theatrical contexts, particularly in Mother Courage and Her Children and The Caucasian Chalk Circle.
