Dr. Ayoosha Saleem is a Lecturer in Management at the Adelaide Business School, University of Adelaide. She holds a PhD in Business/Management (2021) from the same institution, alongside an MBA in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor (Hons.) in Public Administration from Pakistan. Her research focuses on the psychological foundations of family businesses, including emotional labor, socioemotional wealth, and psychological wellbeing of family members. She is part of the Family Business Education and Research Group (FBERG) and has published in journals like the Journal of Small Business Management and Journal of Family Business Strategy. She teaches organizational behavior, management, and research methods, and has been with the university since 2019. Prior to academia, she worked as a Young Development Fellow in Human Resources in Pakistan's government.
Research Interests: Emotional labor, socioemotional wealth in family businesses, non-financial goals, psychological capital, and wellbeing. Her work bridges academic research with practitioner insights through outlets like familybusiness.org.
Teaching & Supervision: Offers supervision for PhD/MPhil students in emotions/emotion management, psychological wellbeing, family dynamics, and coping mechanisms in family firms. Teaches postgraduate/undergraduate courses in organizational behavior and human resource management.
