Dr. Aylin Ahadi is Professor and Head of the Department of Industrial and Mechanical Sciences at Lund University (LTH). She is Principal Investigator at the NanoLund Centre for Nanoscience and holds roles in SPI: Sustainable Production Initiative and eSSENCE: The e-Science Collaboration. Her research explores computational continuum mechanics, nanomechanics, and multiscale material modeling using molecular dynamics and peridynamics.
She teaches courses in Continuum Mechanics, Multibody Dynamics, and Nanomechanics. Her work bridges nano- to macro-scale phenomena, focusing on material behavior under stress, deformation mechanisms, and atomic-level interactions in materials like tungsten and harmonic structures.
Projects include 'Understanding microstructure for high-temperature reactions in tooling materials' and 'Peridynamic modeling of materials.' Her publications contribute to materials science through advanced computational methods and experimental techniques.
