Lecturer Ayla Balcı has served at Anadolu University's Faculty of Education, Department of Foreign Language Education since 1984. She earned both undergraduate (1980-1984) and postgraduate (1986-1988) degrees from the same department, completing her dissertation on EFL listening performance in 1988.

Analysis of her 15 most recent publications (2011-2018) reveals consistent scholarly emphasis on morphological theory, particularly word structure, lexical morphology, inflectional systems, and Turkish linguistic processes, demonstrating deep theoretical grounding applied to Turkish language pedagogy.
She served as peer reviewer for SSCI-indexed LINGUISTICS RESEARCH (2017) and organized major conferences including the 2021 International Turkish Linguistics Conference and 2017 National Linguistics Congress.
