Ayanda Masilela is a Lecturer in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington, affiliated with the Department of Geography. She earned her PhD in Geography (2024), MS in Geography (2014), and BA in Geography/GIS with a concentration in Cartography (2010), with dual majors in Asian Studies and honors in the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program. Her work bridges geospatial analysis with critical studies in health, race, and queer theory.
