Timothy Prestby is an Assistant Professor of Applied GIS at James Madison University and a former Ph.D. candidate at Penn State's Department of Geography. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cartography and GIS from UW-Madison and a Master's Degree in Geography from Penn State. Prestby's research focuses on trust in maps, user-centered geovisualization, and spatial decision support systems. His work spans environmental science (pollinator health via Beescape), urban segregation (Milwaukee project), and web mapping tools.
